By Doug Newhouse |
Mr. Ayodeji Fadoju has become the first Nigerian national to win US$1m in the latest Dubai Duty Free (DDF) Millennium Millionaire draw held in Concourse D, T1 at Dubai International Airport.
Fadoju has apparently always taken part in the draw, however the one time he let his daughter try her luck on 3 August she correctly picked the winning ticket number 3605 in Series 224 to win the $1m.
He father was recently told the good news early in the morning in Lagos and is now planning to fly back to Dubai to receive his life-changing winnings from DDF.
Meanwhile and at the same time, lady luck also smiled upon Texan Mr. Tony Hernandez who became the new proud owner of a brand new red Ducati Superbike 959 in DDF’s latest Finest Surprise promotion – Series No. 288. At press-time DDF was still trying to track him down to inform him of his good fortune.
All these winning ticket numbers were drawn by Dubai Duty Free COO Ramesh Cidambi, Executive Vice President for Corporate Services, Salah Tahlak, Executive Vice President for Commercial; Executive Vice president Commercial, Nic Bruwer; and Sinead El Sibai, Senior Vice President – Marketing.
