Qatar to streamline visa process in tourism drive

Top Qatar Airways Pic2Qatar Airways, the Qatar Tourism Authority and leading visa specialists VFS Global have reached an agreement to create ‘an efficient and transparent tourist visa application system’ to encourage more visitors to Qatar.

 

The agreement – signed in the presence of Qatar’s Ministry of Interior – compliments the government’s efforts to attract more visitors, in line with the country’s Qatar National Tourism Sector Strategy 2030 (QNTSS).

 

AIM: TO MAKE DOHA A WORLD-CLASS DESTINATION

Qatar Airways Group CEO, His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker, said: “Qatar Airways has been bringing tourists to Qatar for nearly two decades and today’s announcement marks another milestone in our commitment to making Doha a world-class tourist destination.

Qatar Airways and the Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA) will now work on the process with VFS Global the Ministry of Interior over the coming months to establish the new tourist visa application process, with details expected to be announced later.

VFS Global claims to offer ‘convenient and efficient visa application services’ that can be accessed online by travellers from across the world, with this new partnership aiming to support passengers along their journey, as well as to facilitate Qatar’s booming tourism industry by ‘simplifying the tourist visa process’.
