Inflight agrees new TUI Fly contract extension

By Doug Newhouse |

Inflight Service Europe announced today that it has reached mutual agreement with TUI Fly Nordic to extend its existing retail and packing services cooperation agreement from May 2016.

Lars Löfgren, CEO, Inflight Service Europe AB said: “We are pleased to inform that Inflight Service and TUI Fly Nordic have extended the cooperation around retail services (pre-order retailing and onboard duty free retailing) and packing services (pre-order and onboard duty free trolleys). The new contract will start from 1 May 2016.

“The successful cooperation was started over 20 years ago and we are proud to have been chosen as TUI Fly Nordic’s partner for an additional contract period.

“Our commitment is to further develop our already world leading retail offering in order to drive an increased net profit for TUI Fly Nordic and an increased passenger satisfaction to TUI Fly Nordic’s customers from the retailing services.”

Löfgren added that the warehousing and packing services will be performed in Inflight Service’s dedicated warehouse in Tibro, Sweden (top, right). This facility also has ‘a new employee’ following the installation of a new semi-automatic picking robot last Spring.

The retailer says proudly that this now allows Inflight Service Europe to offer TUI Fly Nordic’s passengers ‘the widest possible travel retail assortment range in the world’.

For the uninitiated TUIfly Nordic AB – formerly known as Britannia Nordic or Transwede – is a very successful charter airline based in Stockholm, Sweden.
