Nordic Travel Retail Group is set to share m1nd-set report

Fredrik Reinfeldt

Former Swedish Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt will be speaking this year.

The Nordic Travel Retail Group (NTRG) says it is now ready to share its market report on the Nordic and Baltic Regions with its members, including information on the regional market structure, plus a focus on sales and consumer shopping behaviour and an overall macro-economic overview.

The report has been commissioned in partnership with the m1nd-set research firm, following the tie up between NTRG and the research company last November – including the very well received pre-presentation subsequently delivered to NTRG’s members by m1nd-set owner and CEO Peter Mohn last March.

The NTRG says that this apparently generated ‘huge interest’, while drawing several positive responses from NTRG members.

RESPONSE TO REPORT HAS BEEN ‘IMMENSE’

Commenting on the initiative, Eva Rehnström the Chairperson of NTRG said: ‘We first of all are looking forward to sharing the report with our members.

“The positive response to our work with this report has been immense and everyone in the NTRG board is happy to see that we are able to fulfil a need for data and insights among our members.

“This pan-regional and multi-purpose report will be of not only great value to each of our members – but also for our industry association. Together, we now have a much better and common understanding of our region.”

Interestingly, this report is also amongst the first major initiatives to be launched under the m1nd-set Business 1ntelligence Service (‘B1S’).

Rehnström continued: “Deciding to commission this research was a significant and strategic decision for the board to make and we are happy to have partnered with m1nd-set who have actualised our wishes and visions with this.

“The process has been smooth and as scheduled and results are as good as we expected when signing the agreement last year.”

GROWING STRONG AND TRUSTING RELATIONSHIP…

Adding his comments, Peter Mohn, Owner and CEO, m1nd-set said: “An already strong and trusting relationship has gained even more strength since starting working together with this project. Being part of adding value to the NTRG membership has been stimulating and we are happy with the result for the board of NTRG and for our new B1S – m1nd-set Business 1ntelligence Service.”

Meanwhile, the NTRG says that numbers are looking very good for the upcoming Nordic Travel Retail Seminar themed as ‘Global Changes’ (8 June, Helsinki) with the NTRG board confirming it is now finalising the last details, including ‘some very distinguished speakers’.

These include the former Prime Minister of Sweden (top right) Fredrik Reinfeldt (2006-2014) as the opening keynote. He will apparently address ongoing political and economic changes, while sharing his 25-year high level experience and perspectives from the world of international politics.

FUTURE WORLD ANALYSIS…

He will be joined by several other speakers including Mr. Kjell A. Nordström with the closing keynote once again. This, after his presentation proved so popular with attendees at the NTRS 2016 event in Stockholm.

This year he has been invited to take the audience even further into his view of the future world of changes, opportunities and challenges. Other confirmed speakers include representatives from the ETRC and Gate Group.

The cost of attending this event is as follows: (Payment by credit card only). Registration Fee, NTRG-Members €299 and non-Members €449 (until 1 June 2017).

Further information on the NTRS 2017 event can be found on the NTRG website (http://nordictravelretailgroup.com), with online registration open until 1 June.
