Oliva Cigars strengthens China presence with new airport humidors
By Trbusiness Editor |
Oliva Cigars, part of the Vandermarliere Cigar Family (VCF), has expanded its footprint in Asian travel retail with the introduction of two new airport humidors, in partnership with China Duty Free.
Beijing Daxing International Airport Departures now features the Oliva island humidor. At Shanghai Pudong International Airport Terminal 2, a wall bay humidor offers travellers access to Oliva’s cigar range within a modern and accessible setting.
Each humidor will feature a rotating selection of Oliva’s core lines, such as the award-winning Serie V and Serie O, along with limited editions tailored to the Asian market.
“These humidors reflect our belief that travel retail should go beyond convenience – it should create a sense of discovery,” noted VCF Global Travel Retail Coordinator Thomas Gryson.
“By investing in engaging, brand-led spaces at the world’s busiest airports, we’re connecting with travellers at moments when they’re most receptive to quality and authenticity.”
VCF Export Manager Cagdas Cildir added: “We are happy to expand our presence and make our products more accessible through China Duty Free, where the appetite for premium cigars is growing rapidly. These new humidors are more than just retail points – they are brand experiences designed to engage discerning consumers in one of the world’s most important travel corridors.”
