Starboard to offer exclusive artisanal collections on new Silver Moon vessel

The new Silver Moon vessel features three boutiques offering products such as fragrances and cosmetics, apparel and handbags.

Starboard Cruise Services has vowed to bring a ‘distinct blend’ of renowned brands, limited editions, artisanal goods and exclusive local treasures from around the world onboard Silversea Cruises’ newest ship, Silver Moon.

As reported in April Starboard is preparing to unveil ‘reimagined, immersive and personalised’ onboard shopping experiences as part of a number of new vessel launches, including Celebrity Apex; Costa’s Firenze and Toscana; Crystal Endeavour; and Silversea Moon and Dawn.

The long-awaited Silver Moon flagship welcomed its first guests on 18 June in Greece and will offer locally crafted solutions reflecting the Eastern Mediterranean voyage.

Lisa Bauer, President and CEO, Starboard Cruise Services said: “We collaborated with Silversea Cruises to design a retail experience to spark voyagers’ wanderlust with exclusive artisanal creations not found back home.

“The focus on locally sourced offerings will appeal to Silversea guests’ love of travel, sense of curiosity and desire for adventure.”

Silver Moon’s retail programme is the first designed by Starboard’s Luxury Division, which was launched to deliver bespoke, vacation experiential retail that cultivates ‘unique memories’ for sophisticated, experienced, affluent travellers.

The retail space features three boutiques displaying jewellery, apparel, handbags, fragrances, cosmetics, travel essentials and other offerings.

A specially curated destination shopping concept will debut on Silver Moon and then expand across the whole fleet. The concept includes a rotation of assortments sourced from Silversea’s over 900 ports-of-call.

Guests can discover local handcrafted and artisanal products from the Greek isles such as accessories made from recycled olive wood; embroidered hats, tops and kaftans; and extra virgin olive oil, natural cosmetics and body soaps.

Featured Mediterranean offerings include one-of-a-kind handcrafted pieces from the Red Coral Artisanal Jewellery Collection. This one-of-a-kind jewellery originates from atrophied coral whose colour was transformed by a volcanic eruption over 100 years ago off the coast of Sicily.

Roberto Martinoli, President and CEO, Silversea Cruised commented: “The debut of Silver Moon signals a new era of ultra-luxury travel, and the retail program Starboard designed contributes to that narrative. The artisanal shopping aligns with the ship’s exclusivity — intimate experience — enhancing the onboard guest journey.”

Silver Moon will sail a series of 10-night Greek Isles trips with calls to Santorini, Paros, Mykonos, Crete, and Cyprus.
