Major changes at Fort Lauderdale

Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport is refurbishing its three terminals and rebuilding Terminal 4 according to Broward County. The new facilities will comprise more shops and restaurants, plus higher ceilings and decorative artwork. The number of gates will also rise from the present 58 to 66. In fiscal 2013, 23.6m passengers – mostly domestic low cost – used the airport. Norwegian Air Shuttle is a new international carrier.
