By Kevin Rozario |
The Airport Authority Hong Kong (AA) and Kong Kong’s Labour Department (LD) today launched the Hong Kong International Airport Job Expo 2014. As previously reported, the three-day event has more than 6,500 career options spread across 50 companies in Hong Kong’s airport and aviation industry.
Tomorrow at 12 noon, DFS Group will make a presentation on the opportunities it has available at its locations.
Professor Anthony Cheung Bing-leung, Secretary for Transport and Housing, comments: “The aviation industry of Hong Kong has a bright prospect. To support the manpower development of maritime and aviation industries, the government launched a HK$100m ($13m) ‘Maritime and Aviation Training Fund’ on 1 April this year.”
The fund aims to enhance existing training and scholarships schemes in the next five years, as well as to launch a series of new initiatives for enhancing the professional standard of practitioners and attracting young generations to join the maritime and aviation industries.
