L’Occitane GTR puts scent innovation centre stage at TFWA Cannes
By Faye Bartle |

The Sol de Janeiro Intense Perfume Mist collection has been created in response to consumer demand for deeper, longer-lasting fragrance.
L’Occitane Travel Retail is putting fragrance innovation, newness and festive gifting firmly in the spotlight at this year’s TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes, as it showcases the latest developments from its portfolio of premium beauty brands.
Taking centre stage will be Sol de Janeiro and the brand’s rapidly expanding Cheirosa fragrance collection.
The recently launched Intense Perfume Mist collection has been created in response to consumer demand for deeper, longer-lasting fragrance (offering up to 10 hours of scent).
The collection comprises Cheirosa 62 Intense, Cheirosa 59 Intense, Cheirosa 91 Intense and the brand-new Cheirosa 74 Intense (inspired by the golden-hour energy of Rio de Janeiro’s Arpoador Beach) – all built around a signature solar ambery accord.
“Sol de Janeiro continues to connect with travellers through expressive, sensorial fragrance experiences,” said Mona L’Hostis, Sol de Janeiro & Erborian Brand Director, Global Travel Retail, L’Occitane Group.
“From the richer Intense Perfume Mists to our first preview of the Cheiroso Cologne Mist duo, we are delighted to share the next chapter of the brand’s fragrance story with our travel retail partners.”
Looking ahead, Sol de Janeiro will also offer travel retail partners an exclusive first look at its new fragrance proposition for men, featuring a Cologne Mist duo of Cheiroso 7 and 10, due to make its global travel retail debut in January 2027.
The duo features fragrance technology activated by body heat and movement to help neutralise unwanted odours while continuously releasing scent throughout the day.

Offering up to 10 hours of scent, the Sol de Janeiro Intense Perfume Mist collection combines the ease and expressiveness of a fragrance mist with greater concentration, richness and lasting presence.
The innovations follow a high-energy summer for Sol de Janeiro in the channel. Its Make Life Cheirosa campaign, the brand’s biggest-ever global summer travel retail programme, reached more than 50 airports and 600 travel retail doors worldwide, combining immersive retail experiences, pop-ups, digital engagement, gifting and high-impact visibility.
Sol de Janeiro is also bringing its upcoming Holiday collection to Cannes, giving partners a preview of the brand’s festive offer and gifting opportunities for travellers.
‘TFWA Cannes is an important moment for us to meet our partners and share the innovation and creativity driving our brands forward,” said Evelyne Ly Wainer, Managing Director, Global Travel Retail, L’Occitane Group.
“This year, fragrance takes centre stage, from the extraordinary momentum of Sol de Janeiro and the evolution of its Cheirosa universe to exciting new sensorial experiences from L’Occitane en Provence. We are also looking further ahead, giving our partners an early glimpse of the innovations that will shape 2027.”

The Intense Perfume Mist collection will be prominently displayed on the central table at the company’s stand.
L’Occitane en Provence will preview its latest fragrance innovation with the expansion of its Amande Sublime Mist collection, due to launch in travel retail in October.
The collection introduces Amande Pistache, a warm woody gourmand combining roasted pistachio, vanilla and cedarwood, and Amande Crème Brûlée, which blends roasted almond with vanilla milk and caramel.
They join Amande Délice, with its floral notes of freesia, almond blossom and vanilla, creating a fragrance wardrobe designed for layering and personalisation.
Drawing inspiration from the confectioneries of Founder Olivier Baussan in Haute-Provence, the Maison has used NaturePrint technology to capture the character of almonds and pistachios at the peak of the roasting process, translating this sensory moment into fragrance.
Alongside its latest product innovations, L’Occitane en Provence will showcase its upcoming Holiday collection, highlighting festive gifting and seasonal storytelling as the Maison celebrates its landmark 50th anniversary year.
“Our Amande Sublime mist collection brings a new dimension to the Almond universe, with gourmand notes inspired by Haute-Provence and opportunities for fragrance layering,” said Melanie Laroche, Brand Director, L’Occitane en Provence, Global Travel Retail.
“We look forward to introducing these new sensorial experiences to travellers alongside our Holiday collection in this special 50th anniversary year.”
