TRSS and Armaf launch smart fragrance kiosk at Zayed International

TRSS (Aer Rianta International) has partnered with Sterling Perfumes’ Armaf and Abu Dhabi Airports to launch a branded smart fragrance kiosk at Zayed International Airport.
It is located along a high-footfall corridor leading to Gates D, next to the airport’s flagship duty free store, in a bid to attract passengers who do not typically enter the shops.
The kiosk was unveiled on 5 June, supported by a live activation featuring Ebraheem Al Samadi, Kuwaiti-American entrepreneur, cast member of Netflix’s Dubai Bling, and the face of the Armaf Club de Nuit Bling fragrance.
During the launch period, Armaf Beauty Advisors also engaged with passengers, distributing fragrance samples and branded chocolates.
Developed by UAE-based retail technology company UMMI, the kiosk operates both as a dispensing unit and a connected retail platform. It offers a curated selection of 12 Armaf fragrances, led by the Club de Nuit range.
The kiosk tracks real-time purchasing behaviour, inventory and demand, while generating insights that inform assortment and drive optimisation. It also identifies top-performing SKUs and demand patterns in real time, supporting merchandising decisions.
“Even amid the current regional challenges, we remain committed to innovation and to delivering exceptional experiences for travellers,” noted TRSS CEO Adrian Bradshaw.
“The launch of the Armaf vending machine reflects our dedication to embracing forward-thinking retail concepts and shaping the future of travel retail alongside our valued partners, Armaf and Abu Dhabi Airports.
“Together, we continue to invest in initiatives that enhance passenger engagement, strengthen strategic partnerships, and create lasting value across the airport ecosystem.”
Sterling Parfums Industries Regional Head Zainab Kandil commented: “At Armaf, innovation is not only about creating exceptional fragrances; it’s about reimagining how consumers discover and engage with our brands. The Club de Nuit Smart Perfume Kiosk represents an exciting step forward in bringing premium fragrance experiences closer to travellers through a format that is accessible, intelligent, and designed for today’s consumer.”
Abu Dhabi Airports Senior Vice President Retail Fernando Sanchez added: “At Abu Dhabi Airports, we are committed to driving innovation that elevates the passenger experience and reinforces Abu Dhabi’s position as a leading global aviation hub.
“We are proud to support initiatives that introduce pioneering retail concepts, enhance the airport journey, and reflect the region’s growing influence in shaping the future of travel retail.”
The Abu Dhabi launch marks the first step in a broader roll-out strategy. TRSS and Armaf will assess performance across sales, conversion, passenger engagement and operational learnings to support expansion across airports, hotels, cruise terminals and other high-footfall environments.
