Visitors to TFWA will discover newer flavours including Hazelnut & Chocolate.

Cartwright & Butler will unveil a refreshed brand identity and a pipeline of new travel retail products and concepts at TFWA World Exhibition & Conference in Cannes.

The British brand, which will exhibit at P14 in the Mediterranean Village, is targeting further international expansion following two years of growth in the channel, with Asia and the Middle East among its key areas of focus.

Making its global debut at the show, Cartwright & Butler’s updated visual identity is intended to give the brand a more contemporary and premium look while retaining its English heritage. A completely redesigned stand will feature archways, traditional detailing, soft pastels, gold accents and colour-coded product areas.

The company will also showcase its product strategy across three areas: food and beverage and snacking, affordable premium gifting and confectionery.

New twin-pack and single biscuit formats have been developed specifically for complimentary and retail snacking menus, with launches planned with British Airways, Virgin Atlantic, WHSmith and World Duty Free Group.

In gifting, Cartwright & Butler will present new concepts for destination-specific products, alongside a new global travel retail-exclusive presentation and additional formats. The company is also expanding its confectionery offer beyond biscuits, with a focus on fudge, truffles and chocolate nuts.

The brand’s 200g Pastels biscuit tins will remain a key part of its GTR offer, with newer flavours including Hazelnut & Chocolate and Maple & Pecan Dark Chocolate Biscuits, alongside seasonal varieties such as Pumpkin Spice.

Its Shortbread Collection has also been relaunched with five sweet and one savoury flavour, supported by an HPP at Edinburgh Airport. The Great Britain range has meanwhile been expanded with retailer-exclusive launches including the Ultra Thick Union Jack, Union Jack Duo Pack and Scotland St Andrews Flag Tin.

Cartwright & Butler is supporting its portfolio with in-store activations, including August campaigns at Heathrow Terminals 3 and 5 and London Stansted featuring a ‘Spin the Wheel’ mechanic. Its new snacking twin-pack will also feature in WHSmith’s meal deal offer from September.

“Cannes is an important opportunity for us to showcase how Cartwright & Butler is evolving while staying true to the quality and craftsmanship that have always been at the heart of the brand,” said GTR Business Development Manager Julie Feryn. “We are committed to leveraging the strong momentum we have built in travel retail over the past two years to extend our footprint internationally, with Asia and the Middle East among the key areas of focus. As an agile business, we are able to listen, learn and respond quickly to retailer requirements and consumer expectations, and Cannes will be an important opportunity to gain further insight into the channel, while sharing our plans for the future – including our three-year pipeline of product innovations.”
