Ferrero brings new Kinder innovations to Cannes

Sergio Salvagno, General Manager of Ferrero Travel Market discusses the importance of sustainability.

Ferrero Travel Market will unveil a series of new product launches and digital activations at TFWA World Exhibition & Conference in Cannes, with biscuits among the key areas of focus for the company.

Exhibiting at Bay 11 in the Bay Village, Ferrero will present new additions across its Kinder and Tic Tac portfolios, alongside updates on its sustainability strategy.

Kinder Crunchy Cookies will roll out globally in travel retail from September, following an exclusive debut with Avolta last year. The 136g travel retail-exclusive format combines Kinder milk and white chocolate with a crunchy biscuit and forms part of Ferrero’s expansion into the biscuit category.

Kinder Crispy will also join Ferrero’s global travel retail portfolio following its debut with Gebr. Heinemann last year. The product combines layers of milk filling, cocoa and hazelnut filling, crispy wafer, milk chocolate and biscuit crumbs.

Ferrero will also introduce a new Kinder digital game in Cannes, designed to engage shoppers both in-store and after purchase through additional digital touchpoints.

Elsewhere, the company will unveil a new flavour for Tic Tac TWO, its first sugar-free Tic Tac offering in travel retail. First introduced at TFWA World Exhibition in 2024, the range features a double-layered flavour format and pieces twice the size of the original Tic Tac.

Ferrero will also use the exhibition to share progress on its global sustainability strategy. The company reported 98% traceability to farm polygon maps for cocoa, 98.6% traceability to plantation for palm oil and 97% traceability to farmer for hazelnuts. It has analysed almost 230,000 supply chain polygons as part of its European Union Deforestation Regulation-aligned monitoring programme, while 99% of its cocoa volumes are sourced through certifications or other independently managed standards and all palm oil volumes are RSPO-certified.

Ferrero said 92.9% of its packaging is now designed for recyclability, reusability or compostability, while changes to Ferrero Rocher boxes have contributed to a cumulative reduction of 16,000 tonnes of plastic since September 2021.
