Loacker spotlights minis and premium gifting at TFWA Cannes
By Tina Milton |
Italian wafer and chocolate specialist Loacker will present concepts to strengthen its GTR proposition and respond to traveller expectations in Cannes.
With this line-up, the company will build on the momentum of its 2025 centenary year at the upcoming TFWA World Exhibition & Conference (AA 11 Yellow Village).
With premium gifting, convenience and shareability continuing to shape purchasing behaviour, concepts designed to deliver greater choice, strong visual appeal and versatility across different consumption occasions will be on show.
A key highlight will be the evolution of Loacker’s Minis range, expanding the established Classic wafer assortment with lighter, fruitier flavours, including strawberry, in addition to other contemporary taste options inspired by launches in Loacker’s domestic markets.
The Minis evolution will be presented alongside the recently launched Around the World Travel Bag and Misto Bontà Variety Pack, which have both been well received by travel retail partners, according to the brand.
Developed exclusively for GTR, the 245.8g Around the World Travel Bag combines 26 Loacker miniature specialities with colourful global landmark illustrations and an integrated carry handle. The concept has secured listings across multiple international markets following its debut at this year’s TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition.
The 466.5g Misto Bontà Variety Pack combines individually wrapped Wafer Thins, Classic wafers and Gardena bars in a format designed for self-consumption, sharing and gifting. It was launched across King Power Thailand locations earlier this year, reflecting the push in this key travel-retail market.
Loacker Head of Travel Retail and Duty Free Juan Miguel Cabrera commented: “Our focus in Cannes is on strengthening the core of our GTR offer while continuing to develop targeted innovation around the needs of travelling consumers. The evolution of Minis is an exciting next step, building on an established Loacker favourite with contemporary flavour profiles and greater choice.”
“The Cannes show provides an important opportunity to reinforce our relationships with existing retail and distribution partners, while also identifying new avenues for growth. Despite the volatile market environment, we see significant potential across Asia Pacific, Latin America and Europe, and we are focused on working closely with partners in these regions to accelerate our expansion and build long-term, sustainable growth in GTR.”
