NITR presents vision for confectionery at TFWA in Cannes
By Tina Milton |
Nestlé International Travel Retail (NITR) will demonstrate how its Attract, Convert, Thrive (A.C.T.) initiative can drive category development, alongside key product franchises.
An analysis of the role its activations and partnerships can play is also on the agenda at the Beach Village 1, Beach 15 in Cannes.
Frédéric Porchet, General Manager, Nestlé International Travel Retail, said: “TFWA World Exhibition is a key moment for us to show how Nestlé International Travel Retail is helping shape the future of confectionery in the channel. Our A.C.T. strategy remains focused on creating experiences that attract shoppers, convert engagement into purchase and help the whole category thrive.”
From immersive retail theatre to personalised gifting and exclusive product stories, the group’s approach will feature store initiatives designed to attract travellers.
KitKat and Formula One gain ground
As the KitKat and Formula One partnership gains momentum, a preview of a new collectible concept will also be unveiled in Cannes.
The move follows several KitKat experiences, such as racing simulators, reaction challenges and personalised engraving of car tins, that were recently implemented at key airports.
Mystery flavour for KitKat Japan
For 2026, KitKat Japan mystery flavour will be uncovered, designed to build on the appetite for “limited, exclusive and culturally distinctive confectionery experiences”.
NITR will also unveil the growing travel-retail opportunity behind KitKat Japan, a proposition designed to combine exclusive flavours, Japanese-inspired storytelling and immersive retail engagement.
Concepts such as Gachapon rewards, bold red visual merchandising and culture-led product discovery can transform confectionery into a richer shopper experience, according to the company.
New tastes join After Eight
Travellers will be able to discover new Caramel, Orange and Raspberry varieties alongside the classic Mint recipe this month. The launches will be supported by refreshed packaging, flavour navigation and travel retail-exclusive messaging.
Its flavours are designed to offer a new premium confectionery line-up with strong gifting and self-treat potential.
After Eight activations will be introduced, creating distinctive shelf impact and broadening the brand’s appeal to new shoppers.
