Walker’s Shortbread has expanded its travel retail offering with three Union Jack-branded products, available exclusively in Avolta’s World Duty Free stores.
–
Developed specifically for the global travel retail (GTR) market, these new additions are designed to appeal to international travellers seeking premium gifting items that offer a ‘sense of place’ and an authentic taste of Scotland.
–
“We know international travellers are looking for authentic products that capture the spirit of their destination,” said Bryony Walker, Commercial Director at Walker’s Shortbread.
–
“These new Union Jack products celebrate our rich heritage, bringing together our traditional shortbread with exclusive travel retail flavours.
–
“They make wonderful gifts to take home to share with loved ones or simply to enjoy while on your journey.

–
“We are delighted to continue our partnership with Avolta to offer these exclusive items to passengers.” Leading the way is Walker’s Marmalade Shortbread Tube (200g, RRP £7.50) – a new flavour that blends Walker’s traditional all-butter shortbread recipe with a zesty marmalade twist.
–
Also joining the line-up is Walker’s Triple Chocolate Shortbread Rounds (250g, RRP £9.50). This popular flavour now comes in a convenient sharing format containing individually wrapped pieces of shortbread.
–
Alongside the two new products is an updated version of Walker’s Union Jack Tin containing Union Jack-shaped shortbreads (250g, RRP £15) – ideal for customers seeking a British-themed keepsake.
–
“Products that reflect the character and heritage of a destination have an important role to play in travel retail, particularly for travellers looking for distinctive gifts to take home,” said Eve Fifer, Commercial Director in the UK at Avolta.
–
“This new Walker’s range combines the brand’s strong Scottish provenance with recognisable British design and formats developed specifically for travel.
–
“We are pleased to offer the collection exclusively through our World Duty Free stores across UK airports.”
