Lagardère Travel Retail brings Discover London concept to Gatwick South
By Trbusiness Editor |
Lagardère Travel Retail will open a 94sq m Discover London store in London Gatwick Airport South Terminal this December. A second store will follow in Q2 2026.
The Discover London store will introduce a premium British gifting concept, offering an extensive range of carefully curated products that showcase the best of Britain’s iconic heritage brands, alongside local products from Sussex.
This announcement follows successful Lego store openings in Gatwick North and South, which underline the strong collaboration between the two key stakeholders.
Lagardère Travel Retail UK & Ireland CEO Peter Newbould noted: “We are thrilled to expand our partnership with London Gatwick Airport through the upcoming opening of Discover London. Following the success of the Lego stores in both the North and South Terminals, this next step marks another exciting milestone in our journey at London Gatwick Airport.

Discover London’s curated range showcases premium British gifting brands alongside Sussex specialities.
“Discover London will bring a premium gifting concept to passengers and reflects our long-term commitment to enhancing the travel retail experience. We are working hard to bring the very best and most locally relevant products, especially from the Sussex region, to highlight its rich heritage and ensure our passengers remain engaged and delighted every time they travel.”
London Gatwick Senior Retail Operations Manager Jack Howe commented: “We are pleased to continue strengthening our partnership with Lagardère Travel Retail. The addition of Discover London will further enrich the retail offer at London Gatwick, building on the success of the Lego stores, providing passengers with another unique shopping experience and showcasing some of the fantastic produce from Sussex and the wider region.”
