World Duty Free (WDF) has raised a donation of over £2m ($2.6m) for The One Foundation.
Since the start of the partnership in 2006, the Dufry-owned company has been one of its main commercial supporters, selling the charity’s bottled One Water and branded jute bags in all UK airport stores.
According to WDF, the donation has helped bring clean, safe water to 403,259 people in Africa.
DEVELOPING RELATIONSHIP
Speaking on behalf of The One Foundation, Duncan Goose, Founder and CEO commented: “As one of the first companies to partner with The One Foundation it has been amazing to see our relationship develop and how much the business and its employees have embraced what we have achieved together.
“For many staff, the opportunity to see projects in Africa has been life-changing and I look forward to the next stage of our mission to help eradicate the issue of clean water scarcity.”
Kathryn Kindness, Country Commercial Category Manager at World Duty Free added: “We’re extremely proud to have generated this total donation of £2m. As a company, we are committed to supporting The One Foundation and the vital work they do. Our staff are all extremely passionate about the brand and the projects the funding supports.
