Absolue de Lancôme launches podium in Beijing

Lancôme Travel Retail Asia Pacific has launched Absolue de Lancôme on a podium in Beijing T3 International Airport Departure from September 1 to October 18.


The theme of the podium which measures 40sq m (4m x 10 m x 3m high) is Absolue L’Extrait, which the company says represents ‘the ultimate luxury of Absolue in Lancôme’.


Lancome at BeijingIt also claims that ‘the eye-popping design attracts enormous traffic’ with its three zonings, which include an outer layer Absolue Bar which offers an introduction to Absolue and an invitation to customers to take a five-minute complimentary hand massage.


An Express Service Zoning service also offers a five-minute complimentary hand massage plus a skin consultation to customers, while a Luxury Service Zoning (semi-private) offers a 15-minute Express Absolue L’Extrait Facial.


In a statement, the company said: “Absolue L’Extrait is the most luxurious cream offered by Lancôme. It represents elegance, sophistication, and femininity. The Absolue L’Extrait Podium is the symbol that transcends the ‘Absolue de Lancôme image’, providing a state-of-the-art shopping experience.


“The Absolue brand is for women who strive for excellence. The podium manages to capture its clientele and have achieved amazing first results.”

Lancôme said it is currently running seven to nine hand massage services per promoter per day during the weekend along with an impressive 40% conversion rate of sales.


It adds that daily unit sales of Absolue L’Extrait have doubled or tripled since Podium opening and there has been good cooperation between the Lancôme counter and Absolue Podium with beauty advisors encouraging customers to enjoy the new Podium services.


Many businessmen are also said to have been interested in enjoying these services.
