ADPI (Aéroports de Paris Ingénierie), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Aéroports de Paris, has been asked by the Philippine authorities to carry out feasibility and development studies for a new terminal at Clark International Airport (formerly known as Diosdado Macapagal International Airport).
A former US air base located on the island of Luzon in the Philippines, the site is about ninety kilometres to the north of Manila. Clark International Airport has been open to commercial traffic since 1993.
Once completed, the terminal is set to reach a capacity of 15m passengers per year. It will be dedicated to serving low-cost airlines, the rapid expansion of which is a major contributing factor in the growth of air traffic in the Philippines.
“The new terminal will meet two needs,” says ADPI. “Firstly, to improve access to the highly-populated northern part of Luzon, secondly, to relieve some of the pressure on Manila’s airport, which is already saturated.
ADPI STRENGTHENS FOOTHOLD IN ASIA
“This should better ensure the continuous functioning of the capital city, which is frequently affected by heavy flooding.”

The project constitutes an important component of the economic development strategy of the Philippines. It will be financed by FASEPEtudes, which is a development aid fund managed by the French government. It will also contribute to the strengthening of economic ties between the two countries, and build on the foundations laid during recent official visits by the French Prime Minister and Foreign Trade Minister.
Aéroports de Paris Group has maintained a presence in the Philippines since the 1990s, when it conducted studies and undertook the works supervision for Terminal 2 at Manila International Airport.
ADPI TURNOVER 65M EUROS IN 2012

Aéroports de Paris Group is pursuing its strategy of adapting and modernising its terminal facilities and upgrading quality of services; the Group also intends to develop its retail and real estate businesses. In 2012, Group revenue stood at €2,640m and net income at €341m.
