‘Ample room for growth in Asia travel retail’ says Singapore-bound Ritter Sport
By Luke Barras-hill |

German confectioner Ritter Sport will arrive at this year’s TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition & Conference (11-15 May) in Singapore with an extended range of travel retail specific skus.
Key products are the updated Ritter Sport Mini Colourful Variety Tower Pink 250g and the Colourful Variety Pouch Pink 500g.
The limited edition 100g Pistachio Tower has been added to the lineup and after launching with Gebr. Heinemann this year is now available to all travel retail partners.
The new flavour has been one of Ritter Sport’s most successful products within its nut selection portfolio.
Elsewhere, Ritter Sport is introducing its latest wafer chocolate brand, Amicelli, for travel retail partners.
Part of the Ritter Sport portfolio since 2021, Amicelli is being rolled out in global travel retail with a special focus on Asia Pacific to tap consumer demand for sweet treats and gifting opportunities.

Asia Pacific campaign
A hexagonal re-sealable 200g pack can be enjoyed repeatedly or shared among friends and family.
The crispy wafer rolls filled with cream and coated in chocolate are available in two flavours – milk and hazelnut – in travel retail.
The hazelnut flavour was a favourite among travellers at recent travel retail activations in Bangkok and Tel Aviv.
In the case of the former, Amicelli partnered with King Power Corporation to launch an activation at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi International Airport (see below).
Located at Terminal 1, the activation ran through April and featured an eye-catching pink display showcasing the 150g Hazelnut flavour with a customised ‘Greetings From’ sleeve adding personal and local flair to the packaging.
For its 2025 Asia Pacific campaign, Ritter Sport will concentrate on building brand awareness for its key TR Editions hero products: the new Mini Colourful Variety Tower, which includes 15 minis and five different flavours (Salted Caramel, Strawberry Crème, Alpine Milk, Cornflakes and Butter Biscuit.)

The same flavour combinations are available in the Colourful Mix Pouch Pink 500g, including 30 minis across the five different flavours.
The new tower and pouch boast a pop of pink and nod to Ritter Sport’s colourful squares.
The TR Edition Pistachio Tower flavour combines milk chocolate with crunchy, roasted pistachios and a hint of salt.
Ignacio Aznar, International Key Account Manager Travel Retail for Ritter Sport GTR said: “We are looking forward to meeting customers old and new in Singapore. There is plenty of room for growth in the Asia region and we hope to grow our reach with our TR Edition products this year.
“The TFWA Asia Pacific showcase will give us the opportunity to build brand awareness in key target markets such as South East Asia and China. We plan to catch up with our customers to discuss much needed price adjustments and align growth plans with existing customers.”
Ritter Sport will be exhibiting at Stand 2-G29, Basement 2.
