APTRA confirms Jaipur for 2027 India Conference
By Naomi Chadderton |
Asia Pacific Travel Retail Association (APTRA) has announced a series of updates, including the location of its 2027 India Conference, new board appointments and the return of its Singapore networking lunch.
Following the success of the 2026 conference in Bangalore, which attracted 270 delegates, APTRA confirmed that the 2027 edition will take place in Jaipur from 16–18 February 2027. The “Pink City”, a UNESCO World Heritage destination, will host the event, with further details to be released in the coming weeks.
APTRA also revealed that its popular networking lunch in Singapore will return on 12 May 2026 at the Tanglin Club, with attendance capped at 150 guests.
In governance updates, Sarah Branquinho (representing Tax Free World Association) and Jean Hung (representing Changi Airport Group) have joined the APTRA Board for the 2025–2027 term, following the retirement of Chandra Mahtani. They join Nick Mogford as part of recent board changes.
Board positions are held by member organisations, with representatives serving until the end of the current term in May 2027, when elections will take place among APTRA members.
APTRA President Sunil Tuli said: “We are delighted to welcome Sarah, Jean and Nick to the APTRA board. Their deep industry knowledge and strategic insights will be valuable as we continue to support and advance the travel retail industry in the region.”
The announcements underline APTRA’s ongoing role in convening industry stakeholders across Asia Pacific, while strengthening its leadership team ahead of the next board election cycle.
