The Dewar’s 18yo Diwali 2019 special edition is available in various Asian airport stores.

Bacardi Global Travel Retail is inviting shoppers to celebrate India’s festival of lights (Diwali) with a limited edition gift-tin presentation of Dewar’s 18yo, The Vintage, Blended Scotch Whisky.

The Dewar’s 18yo Diwali 2019 special edition is available from airport stores in Bangkok, Changi, Delhi, Dubai and Kuala Lumpur.

Laser cut with Rangoli inspired artwork, the golden tin is reminiscent of the Rangoli patterns Hindus paint on the floor by their front door during Diwali. According to Bacardi Global Travel Retail, this limited edition collectors tin is designed for travellers to take a touch of Diwali on their travels or to serve as the ‘perfect memento’ to bring home.

It contains four coasters which can be transformed into a Diya tealight holder, which adds a modern twist to the long-standing tradition of lighting candles during Diwali.

Gaurav Joshi, Regional Director Asia Pacific, Bacardi Global Travel Retail commented: “The Dewar’s gift-tin is a perfect celebration for the festival of light wherever you are and whoever you are buying for —family and friends or as a gift for yourself.

“Dewar’s is an important contributor to category growth for our travel retail partners as the fourth largest, blended Scotch whisky with 31% growth year-on-year.  We are building on the success from previous years’ campaigns in positioning Dewar’s as the key whisky for Diwali celebrations, leveraging its appeal to shoppers as the world’s most awarded blended Scotch whisky.”
