Ballantine’s 21 Year Old Golden Zest Edition is available exclusively at Incheon, Jeju and Gimpo Airports.
Pernod Ricard has added a new limited edition to its Signature Flavour Series, Ballantine’s 21 Year Old Golden Zest Edition.
It marks the second of the series and is being distributed exclusively in global travel retail at Incheon, Gimpo and Jeju International Airports, priced at US$150.
A campaign aimed at Korean travellers has been activated in tandem with the launch, allowing them to enjoy a special experience via microsite www.travelwithballantines.com that explores the citrus flavours in the new golden blend.
Website visitors can download a voucher as a gift with purchase to redeem a luxurious set of Ballantine’s whisky stones.
The whisky itself blends notes of orange zest, creamy vanilla and honey ‘to create a classic yet unexpectedly charming flavour’.
Sandy Hislop, Ballantine’s Master Blender said: “The Ballantine’s 21 Year Old expression is an exceptionally refined and well-balanced Scotch whisky, and for this expression I wanted to highlight the beautiful zesty layers of citrus character that blossoms continuously over the 21 years of maturation.
“The result is an ode to Ballantine’s signature style and a celebration of its citrus notes while paying tribute to the exceptional depth of flavours that makes Ballantine’s 21 Year Old a global favourite.”
