Cartier relocates Shenzhen Airport boutique

Cartier’s redesigned boutique is located in the heart of the domestic departures hall in Terminal 3.

Cartier has opened its newly relocated boutique at Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport in partnership with China Duty Free Group, strengthening the luxury Maison’s presence at one of China’s major aviation hubs.

Opened on 19 August, the redesigned boutique is located in the heart of the domestic departures hall in Terminal 3 and offers jewellery, watches, leather goods, fragrance and accessories.

The new space combines Cartier’s established design codes with references to Shenzhen and its urban landscape. A champagne-gold façade features undulating patterns inspired by the city’s coastal location, while the interior combines warm wood and gold finishes.

A straw marquetry feature wall depicting the Shenzhen skyline alongside Cartier’s panther motif provides a further connection to the destination, with wave patterns referencing the city’s forward-looking character. The boutique also incorporates a dedicated area for more private, tailored client consultations.

“Together with our long-standing partner, China Duty Free Group, this relocated and reimagined boutique represents a key milestone in our ambition to elevate client experiences in key airports worldwide,” said Eliza Yao, Cartier Global Travel Retail Director. “By blending local elements with the Maison’s signature codes, our airport boutiques offer a distinct sense of place, and we continue to celebrate this diversity with travellers every time they step into the Cartier universe.”

Michelle Sun, Vice President at China Duty Free Group, added: “The redesigned airport boutique highlights the strength of collaboration between Cartier and China Duty Free Group, a partnership grounded in a shared commitment to delivering exceptional client service. With this boutique, we continue to ensure a seamless and welcoming shopping experience, where Cartier’s iconic creations are presented with the level of care and attention that exceeds the expectations of today’s travellers.”
