CDFG: ‘show is not us…’

By Administrator |

Henry Wang from China Duty Free Group has contacted The Business to disassociate the company from ‘the First China Duty Free Industry Summit’ being organised by WellResources Consulting of Shanghai.

This move comes only a few days after TFWA management did exactly the same. Like TFWA, Wang says CDFG has been wrongly linked with this event and it will neither sponsor it, nor participate in it.As a result and to clarify its position, CDFG has released the following statement as it was written:
‘As the most important force in China duty free market, China Duty Free Group (CDFG) is devoted to promoting the communication and close partnership in the duty free industry. The First ?China Travel Retail Summit? which was hosted by CDFG in May 2002 is a successful practice with this concept.
‘Recently, we are informed that without the approval of our company, some companies publicly announce that CDFG will sponsor ?the First China Duty Free Industry Summit 2006? which will be held in April 2006 in Beijing.
‘In order to ensure right understanding of the fact, hereby we formally declare that China Duty Free Group has never had the intention of hosting, sponsoring or participating in such a meeting as ?The First China Duty Free Industry Summit 2006?. This is hereby to confirm it. China Duty Free Group. January 24, 2006.
