Changes at the top for Lotte DF as Ju Nam Kim replaces Kap Lee as CEO
By Luke Barras-hill |

L-R: Ju Nam Kim has been named the new CEO of Lotte Duty Free, succeeding Kap Lee.
Lotte Duty Free has announced the appointment of Ju Nam Kim as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective 19 December.
He succeeds Kap Lee, CEO since January 2019, who moves to head up Lotte Group’s communications department.
Kim joined Hotel Lotte Co., Ltd in June 1995.
Following spells as head of Lotte Duty Free’s main downtown store in Myeongdong, Seoul and its Jeju shop operations, Kim ascended to Head of Business Support Division in March 2017.
Most recently, he served as Head of Korea Business Group – a position he has held since July 2021.
Lotte Duty Free ranked second in the TRBusiness Top 10 International Operators 2022, accruing sales of KRW5.8 trillion/$4.9 billion in 2021.
The company has made giant strides in recent years to expand its online and cross-border sales channels in addition to solidifying its bricks and mortar footprint, most recently in downtown Da Nang, Vietnam (pictured below) and earlier this year in downtown Sydney, Australia.
