Changi Airport Group (CAG) is inviting suitable companies to register their interest in operating an open category shop concession at Singapore Changi Airport’s Terminal 3.

The lease period for the 53.2sq m unit located at Basement Level 2 South is three-and-a-half years, beginning 1 January 2023, with no renewal option.

“We are looking for brands with proven track record over the years that will differentiate the retail offering at Terminal 3,” said CAG in a statement.

Earlier this month, Singapore Changi Airport’s landlord launched a direct marketing exercise seeking interest from qualified companies to operate four luxury brand name concessions in the departure/transit lounge at Terminal 2.

Tenancies for the four concessions are 3.5 years and cover floor areas from 114sq m to 126.5sq m.

Lotte Duty Free is preparing to open more shops this month. Pictured is a store at Terminal 1, where refurbishments are taking place.

The commencement date of each lot may be staggered in accordance with the phased re-opening of Terminal 2, which as reported will begin from 29 May.

A virtual briefing session was held earlier this month, with parties given a deadline of 10 May to register their interest.

“We are looking for established, innovative and exciting Luxury brands and concepts that will inject buzz to and differentiate the retail offerings at Singapore Changi Airport’s newly revamped Terminal 2,” added CAG.

In a TRBusiness exclusive interview, iShopChangi’s Nicole Foo tells Charlotte Turner in the May e-zine how the airport was able to accelerate the transformation of its e-commerce platform, first launched in 2013, and why it remains distinct from other dual marketplaces.
