CNSC has introduced six Estée Lauder brands in its Sanya International Duty Free Plaza.

The China National Service Corporation for Chinese Personnel Working Abroad (CNSC) has strengthened its partnership with the The Estée Lauder Companies (ELC) by introducing six of its brands in the Sanya International Duty Free Plaza.

CNSC, which officially opened the first phase (15,000sq m) of the Sanya International Duty Free Plaza on 30 December 2020, is continuing to introduce high-end international brands and establish new partnerships.

The six new brands (Estée Lauder, La Mer, Clinique, Jo Malone London, Origins and Dr. Jart +) was introduced today (24 June).

Guests at a special ceremony marking the launch included Jun Yang, Deputy Party Committee Secretary, Sinopharm International; CNSC Deputy General Managers, Jason Chang, Xiaojie Liu, Ken Chu and Evita Qu; and Maggie Wu, Vice President/General Manager, Estée Lauder Group, Travel Retail China. Brand managers, members of the media and other guests also attended.

CNSC says that the impressive beauty offer at the store has encouraged consumers to experience skincare, fragrances and other products. The company also emphasised that brand consultants are on hand to analyse consumers’ skin and provide seasonal skincare tips.

A CNSC Spokesman said: “The magnificent unveiling of six major Estée Lauder brands will add more splendour to the CNSC Sanya International Duty Free Plaza. Both parties will work together to create the best and most elegant experience for consumers.”

SECOND PHASE OF SANYA PLAZA TO OPEN IN OCTOBER

At the opening ceremony Jun Yang said the company was looking looked forward to strengthening its cooperation with ELC. Yang also revealed CNSC’s plan to press ahead with the second phase of the Sanya International Duty Free Plaza project, partner with more top international luxury brands and provide more high-quality products and convenient and comprehensive services in the process.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony featuring Evita Qu, Deputy General Manager, CNSC (second from right) and other dignitaries took place earlier today (24 June).

Moving forward, CNSC will continue assisting with the construction of the Hainan Free Trade Port and highlighting the benefits of the offshore duty free policy.

On the strengthening of the partnership with Estée Lauder, CNSC said: “Since entering the Chinese market in 1993, Estée Lauder has won the trust and love of Chinese consumers.

La Mer is one of six new Estée Lauder brands introduced at the CNSC Sanya International Duty Free Plaza.

“The strategic partnership with CNSC reflects its commitment to the booming growth of Hainan as China’s top travel retail destination. The grand opening [and introduction of the six Estée Lauder brands] is a golden opportunity [for Estée Lauder] to deepen exchanges and interactions with CNSC.

“The cooperation with Estée Lauder once again proves the brand influence and market competitiveness of the CNSC Sanya International Duty Free Plaza. In an era where the Hainan duty free market continues to thrive, the CNSC Sanya International Duty Free Plaza is bursting with extraordinary vitality.”

Other projects relating to the CNSC Sanya International Duty Free Plaza include the creation of a duty free shopping park, which the company says will have ‘Free Trade Port Characteristics for citizens and tourists’ and help increase duty free consumption on the island.
