Retail Employees Day is celebrated each year on 12 December.

Delhi Duty Free Services (DDFS) is celebrating ‘Retail Employees Day’ (RED) across shops and multiple shifts at Delhi Indira Gandhi International Airport Terminal 3.

Each year, RED celebrations take place on 12 December to thank retail employees for their efforts. The initiative is conceptualised by The Trust for Retailers & Retail Associates of India and supported by The Retailers Associations of India.

RED encourages employers and customers to recognise the efforts of retail associates across the country. The day aims to create awareness and empathy for their jobs and lives and the significant role they play in the lives of customers.

THE ‘FACE’ OF THE BUSINESS

Philip Eckles, CEO, Delhi Duty Free and the management team have thanked the retail team and encouraged them to continue being flag bearers for the growth DDFS has experienced.

Eckles said: “The contribution of shop floor employees among retail employees is undeniable as they are essentially the ‘face’ of the business — they hold the relationship with the customer. The effective engagement of these employees is a fundamental part of our business that enables us to bring an outstanding retail experience to our customers every time they shop with us.”

He added: ”On behalf of Delhi Duty Free we thank everyone in the retail fraternity in India and global travel retail and join them in celebrating this big day!”
