Ashish Chopra joined Delhi Duty Free Services as Head of Purchasing in December 2013.

Delhi Duty Free Services (DDFS) has promoted Ashish Chopra to Deputy Chief Executive Officer with immediate effect.

Chopra joined DDFS as Head of Purchasing in December 2013. Following his success in the role, he was promoted to the newly created position of COO in April 2017.

Philip Eckles, Chief Executive Officer, Delhi Duty Free Services, says that since assuming the role off COO, Chopra has continued to demonstrate his commitment to DDFS through his leadership of the retail team. This has contributed to the success of DDFS in recent years.

The structure of the DDFS organisation remains unchanged other than the fact the marketing team will now report to Chopra.

Eckles added: “This promotion is greatly deserved and I look forward to continuing to work closely with Ashish in his new role.”

As extensively reported by TRBusiness, DDFS recently unveiled its new premium shopping experience at Delhi Indira Gandhi International Airport Terminal 3.
