DFS Group has unveiled the first phase of its newest airport store in domestic Terminal 3A at Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport after winning a bid to operate the Fashion, Watches and Jewellery concession in July 2022.
Phase one sees the opening of DFS’ multi-brand sunglasses store, offering frames from 21 luxury brands, including LVMH-owned Thelios, Luxottica, Safilo, Marchon and Kering Eyewear. The latter has partnered with DFS to enter the airport channel for the first time.
The assortment features a selection of Lunar New Year exclusives from Gucci, Burberry and Prada, with more exclusives planned for 2023.
An additional 1,500sqm, split between 15 branded boutiques – across fashion, watches and accessories – including first-time duty paid airport debuts from Valentino and Moncler, will open in due course.
They join Louis Vuitton, Cartier, Gucci and Burberry, ‘promising a truly luxurious retail experience at Terminal 3A’, added DFS.
Once fully open, DFS will operate a total of 1,800sq m in Terminal 3A having also secured the bid to operate Zone D in October 2022.

Chongqing is Mainland China’s largest city, with a population of more than 30 million. In 2021, Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport was ranked fourth in China by domestic passenger volume, with over 35.8 million people passing through Terminal 3A.
