The holiday season began in earnest for DFS Group over the weekend as it hosted a special customer event in downtown Okinawa to celebrate its annual gifting campaign ‘Give Joy’.
LVMH-owned DFS showcased its first ‘Personalization Gift Shop’ concept at T Galleria by DFS, Okinawa on Saturday 24 November, bringing together a collection of carefully curated luxury gifts, pop-ups and personalisation services.
The ‘Give Joy’ campaign will now roll out at 13 downtown T Gallerias and airport stores, alongside associated personalisation activities.

GIFTING WONDERLAND
More than 300 visitors, VIPs and international media from China and Japan, including Japanese celebrity Sumire and illustrator Foxy, attended an evening that resulted in the store being transformed into a gifting wonderland.
Guests were offered the chance to partake in monogramming leather goods, adorning t-shirts and tote bags with Foxy’s six DFS exclusive emoji iron-on patches while listening to music from a DJ.
A life-sized advent calendar containing holiday gifts, a visit from Santa Claus and a ‘candygram’ corner where guests could pick and mix sweet treats were other highlights.
Ariel Gentzbourger, Executive Vice President Merchandising, DFS Group said: “We are delighted to kick off the festive season at T Galleria by DFS, Okinawa by bringing the excitement of discovery and the luxury of personalisation to our global traveling customers.
“Thanks to our unique approach to gifting, and our understanding of what our customers are seeking, we have created a shopping experience that is a joy in itself.”
