DFS Group launches Rimowa limited-edition with HK pop-up
By Andrew Pentol |
DFS Group and German luxury luggage brand Rimowa held an event to launch the Off-White Rimowa limited-edition collection in a dedicated pop-up at T Galleria by DFS, Hong Kong, Canton Road.
The pop-up is open to the public for viewing from 25-28 October, exclusively in Hong Kong at T Galleria by DFS, Hong Kong, Canton Road.
Attracting more than 120 VIPs, customers, media and socialites, the urban-themed event was attended by Faye Tsui, Declan Chan, Elly Lam, Antonia Li, René Chu and Bird Tse among others. Guests also enjoyed an interactive photo-booth and music by DJ Arthur Bray from Yeti Out.
DESIGN INSPIRATION
The Hong Kong pop-up was inspired by the luggage carousel-style design created by Virgil Abloh for the collection’s launch at Hypebeast’s inaugural cultural festival (Hypefest), in New York earlier this month.
Its showcase included the latest limited-edition collection of See Through luggage including the See Through Black transparent case with black wheels, handles and accents and See Through White transparent case featuring white wheels, handles and accents.
The Off-White Rimowa See Through luggage pieces are based on the Rimowa Essential. Their see-through design means they have no interior lining and instead include the Rimowa Flex-Divider system in black or white, a black or white case cover with the Off-White striped design and a set of black or white cotton Miscellaneous bags.
Cases are fitted with Rimowa’s silent multi-wheel system, TSA combination locks, a new custom Off-White luggage belt and an exclusive transparent amenity kit containing an additional set of orange wheels.
