DFS Group has launched a new luxury online shopping site in China at Galleria.com.cn in partnership with Shanghai Difusi Information Technology and Development Co., Ltd, offering 30 luxury brand names.

The site contains a shop by category section on the opening page, featuring women's fashion, women's bags, beauty and fragrance, watches and jewellery and a men's shop and surfers can also shop by brand name.

DFS, which already has a presence in mainland China with a 10-year duty paid concession at Hainan Meilan International Airport (HMIA), claims to be ‘redefining luxury shopping in 2007’, appealing to China?s ‘fashion enthusiasts and style elite’ with trusted access to a range of the world?s finest luxury brands via the Internet.

DFS claims that this is the first luxury shopping website in China, offering unparalleled shopping assistance provided by knowledgeable Luxury Sales Advisors who are all experts on brands and products. Importantly, DFS is also offering ‘world class after-sales service’ that it says guarantees a stress-free shopping experience and it is offering delivery to nearly all locations in mainland China, and free shipping on orders over RMB.500 ($65).

The site also offers a quarterly catalogue that highlights and complements the online shopping experience and describes itself as a one-stop gifting destination, offering the finest brand names, elegant gift packaging, personalized gift cards, nationwide delivery service, and the Galleria e-Gift card.

It also offers safe and secure payment methods, including bank card online payment and Cash-on-Delivery, etc. Brands that are being offered on the site include Burberry, Celine, Dior, DKNY, Dom Perignon, Dunhill, Emporio Armani, Fendi, Givenchy, Guerlain, Loewe, Prada, Swarovski and others.

In a statement to local press, DFS Chairman and Ceo Ed Brennan said that the new development now extends DFS? reach into every home in China with internet access, for what he described as an important and large emerging luxury market.

The site in Chinese and English carries a theme line of ‘Love To Shop’ and also features fashion and beauty advice, news, and trend reports. Customers are also able to get one-on-one service from trained representatives by calling a toll free number or by clicking on a ?live Chat? link to talk directly to a sales advisor.

The call centre is open between 9am-9pm, Monday to Saturday and can be reached on 800-988-1155 (land line) or 400-880-1155 (mobile phone). DFS?
