Swarovski-Eraman-KLIAMalaysian travel retailer Eraman Duty Free has opened four new stores across Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) and Kota Kinabalu International Airport (KKIA) in the latest phase of the commercial reset strategy.

Dior, Lancôme and Swarovski units opened at KLIA in late December alongside an Estée Lauder store at KKIA.

The Dior (947sq ft) and Lancôme (818sq ft) free-standing shops debut at KLIA and join a second space for Swarovski (673sq ft).

EVOLVING FOOTPRINT

Zulhikam Ahmad, General Manager, Eraman Duty Free said: “This is a significant initiative to position us as the preferred airport duty free and travel retail partner in Asia Pacific, specifically Malaysia.

“The overall project which started this year has started to make an impact to the retail landscape at KLIA Departure Hall, Level 5.

“We are truly delighted to be working with renowned brands such as Dior (LVMH Malaysia), Lancôme (L’Oreal Malaysia Sdn Bhd) and Swarovski, in bringing the latest concept stores to travellers.

Shops for Dior (pictured), Lancôme and Swarovski at KLIA cover at total of 2,438sq ft.

“The store concept is designed to enhance consumers experience, inviting them to experiment the brand and allowing them to explore the various products offered in one space.”

Perfumes & cosmetics grew by 18% in the third quarter of 2019 and represents an important category for the travel retailer.

At KKIA, the Eraman Duty Free and Estée Lauder A.G Lachen partnership has introduced a fifth dedicated free-standing shop (205sq ft).

Eraman Duty Free welcomed Jo Malone, La Mer, MAC and Tom Ford to the airport in August.

“With the introduction of this premium brand in KKIA, I’m confident that this iconic brand will appeal to all travellers,” added Ahmad. “In fact, the brand is highly popular with Chinese tourists who are Eraman’s second largest nationality to shop our stores.”
