Disaronno to outline ASPAC goals & strategy next week
By Charlotte Turner |
Illva Saronno will return Singapore this year for the TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition & Conference (Basement 2 M10) on the back of significant progress for Disaronno and Tia Maria in the region, particularly Australia, Japan and China.
“Following the appointment of Trent Russell as our new Regional Director for APAC in August 2017, we’ve secured business with a number of key markets including Australia, Japan and China,” says International Sales Director Domenico Toni.
“Trent is doing a fantastic job for us and will be on the stand during TFWA Asia Pacific to outline our strategy moving forward to both existing and new partners.”
One product that buyers will be keen to see is the new Disaronno Icon – the name of which remains under media wraps until October. The collaboration – which will be with an Italian designer of renown – will be the sixth in the icon series, bringing a one of a kind look to the world’s favourite Italian liqueur.
‘EXCELLENT SELL-THROUGH’ FOR MISSONI PRODUCT
This year’s version – Disaronno wears Missoni – has already proved to be another winning collaboration, insists the brand, with excellent sell-through wherever it has been listed in travel retail. It’s also seen strong sales results with Heinemann, Lagardère, Weitnauer, DFA, in Cruise Lines as MSC, Carniva, Royal Caribbean, Holland America, Celebrity and P&O Ferries.
This year sees the brand undertake a new marketing campaign to create an ‘even stronger emotional bond’ with consumers that encompasses the entire Disaronno world: ‘aspirational, evocative, iconic and elegant’.
Alongside Disaronno, visitors to the stand will also see the latest products from Tia Maria, Rabarbaro Zucca, Disaronno Riserva and Duca de Salaparuta wines.
Domenico Toni adds: “TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition & Conference is a vital date in the annual travel retail calendar and an important showcase for our brands. We believe that this year will be pivotal for us in really establishing a strong foothold in the region and are very much looking forward to meeting friends old and new.”
Toni also invites exhibitors to the stand once the exhibition closes for the day. “After a long, hard day work in the exhibition hall, visitors to TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition & Conference can enjoy Disaronno’s famously refreshing cocktail; Disaronno Sour, at the TFWA Asia Pacific bar from Monday to Wednesday,” says the company.
The bar is situated on level 4 of the Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Center and is open from 18.00 – 19.30, except on Monday when badge holders can enjoy cocktails from 17.00 – 19.30.
