Emirates Leisure Retail (ELR) has officially opened its first global ‘Tiger Den’ concept at Singapore Changi Airport’s new Terminal 4.
Located adjacent to the departure gates, The Tiger Den serves up ‘delicious Singapore street food and ice cold Tiger beers’ to ‘passengers in a rush’, says ELR, which is renowned for delivering global dining concepts and brands.
Accompanying the beverages is a menu offering tempting street-food-style bites with signature dishes such as Chili Crab Bao Bun, Keema Nachos and Beef Yakitori skewers.
Guests can also enjoy refreshing cocktails and a large variety of Singapore’s national Tiger beers.
Commenting on the opening, Kevin Zajax, COO of ELR, said: “We are delighted to introduce Tiger Den exclusively to Changi Airport as a global first concept. After the success of Pret a Manger, Kitchen by Wolfgang Puck and Hudsons Coffee in Terminal 3, we’re confident that Tiger Den will be a much-loved addition to Changi Airport.”
EXPRESS SERVICE
Passengers searching for speedy service can take advantage of an express menu, which guarantees that all food is served within ten minutes.
For those faced with an even tighter timescale, Tiger Den also offers a takeaway service.
Teo Chew Hoon, Group Senior Vice President of the Airside Concessions Division at Changi Airport Group added: “The opening of Tiger Den adds to the variety of dining experiences we offer our passengers at Changi Airport.
“We hope to bring a new experience through this partnership with Emirates Leisure Retail by showcasing an established brand that resonates with travellers and locals alike.”
‘LOCALLY-INSPIRED’ FOOD, BEER & ART
In addition, passengers will be ‘delighted with the locally-inspired’ food selection and Tiger Den’s ‘extensive range of Tiger beers’ served fresh from a custom-built draft beer system, said Chew Hoon.
Venus Teoh, Marketing Director at Asia Pacific Breweries Singapore commented: “Travellers can look forward to enjoying the full range of Tiger beers, including Tiger Black, Tiger White and Tiger Radler variants.”
“Born and brewed locally since 1932, Tiger is truly the national beer of Singapore. As a brand that continuously explores new ways to stretch boundaries and uncage creativity, we are delighted that the Tiger Den at T4 will embrace our strong connections to local street food and showcase sustainable art made locally.”
According to ELR, Tiger Den’s design includes the extensive use of raw and industrial materials, with furniture made from reclaimed steel and timber.
The outlet also features hand-painted artwork throughout, with a one-off piece created by local Singaporean street artist, Kit.
Other artwork incorporates elements of Dubai and Singapore, using ‘Air Ink’ – a unique type of ink made entirely from air pollution – to highlight the struggles with pollution faced by all major cities across the world, added ELR.
