Malaysian travel retailer Eraman and William Grant & Sons have introduced the Glenfiddich Grand Cru 23yo to welcome in the new year.
The product was unveiled at an exclusive dinner held at the Lafite, Shangri-La Hotel in Kuala Lumpur.
Datuk Seri Michael Yam, Chairman, Eraman, Zulhikam Ahmad, General Manager, Eraman, Matthew Williams, Regional Director, Asia Pacific Global Travel Retail, Willian Grant & Sons and Brett Bayly, Brand Ambassador, South East Asia, Glenfiddich were among those in attendance. Top spenders of the Eraman Privilege Card membership scheme and special friends of Eraman were invited to join the four-course dinner.
‘AHEAD OF THE CURVE’
Yam said: “Its’s never a cliché to say that we at Eraman, as a retailer of duty-free and non-duty free goods must be ahead of the curve, to ensure that our products cater to the changing needs and tastes of our sophisticated travellers.
“It is in this context that we are proud to be at the forefront of showcasing passionate and elegant brands, such as Glenfiddich Grand Cru 23yo — an award winning and globally recognised premium brand that fits in perfectly with our retail philosophy.”
Williams added: “We are honoured to partner with Eraman on the launch of Glenfiddich Grand Cru, our newly released expression that’s been matured for 23 years and finished in rare French cuvée oak casks. The team were thrilled to host the first ever exclusive dinner for Eraman’s guests, providing an extraordinary Glenfiddich experience for attendees and cementing the valuable partnership between William Grant & Sons and Eraman.”
Aside Glenfiddich Grand Cru 23yo (pictured above), guests were served the Glenfiddich 21yo Rum Cask Finish, Glenfiddich 25yo Rare Oak and Glenfiddich 30yo during the dinner. They were also treated to insights on the whiskies presented during the evening from the Glenfiddich brand ambassador.
The liquor category contributed 43% to overall Eraman retail and food and beverage business in the year to November 2019 and grew 3.8% during the period.
