Estée Lauder unveils skincare retail concept at CDF’s Global Beauty Plaza

Estée Lauder has launched its new Skin Longevity Institute retail concept at Global Beauty Plaza in China’s Haitang Bay, Hainan.

The opening of level two of its flagship door at Global Beauty Plaza, located within the new Block C of China Duty Free Group’s Sanya International Duty Free Shopping Complex, ‘establishes a blueprint for the Skin Longevity Institute’s global rollout at key free-standing and luxury department store doors worldwide’, says the beauty giant.

It adds that the Skin Longevity Institute ‘represents the intersection of luxury service and high science’, providing an opportunity for consumers to sample the Sirtivity-LP technology, which claims to combat and prevent aging through specially developed facial services, state-of-the-art skin analysis tools and Re-Nutriv luxury skincare products.

“With the launch of the new Skin Longevity Institute store concept, we are doubling down on our commitment to longevity and leading the next frontier of beauty,” commented Justin Boxford, Global Brand President, Estée Lauder.

“Fusing luxury service and high-science, the Skin Longevity Institute will provide the ultimate elevated Estée Lauder experience for consumers globally through brand-new age-reversal skincare treatments and a fully immersive, multi-sensorial journey, all inspired by our expertise in skin longevity science.”

Key doors to open in Asia and beyond

The New York headquartered skincare, makeup and fragrance firm has chosen to debut its retail concept in China after revealing the Skin Longevity platform in December 2023. This is said to be grounded in Estée Lauder’s 15 years’ experience in the skin science field.

The latest door in Hainan for its Skin Longevity Institute is said to offer visitors Estée Lauder’s most extensive and elevated level of service.

Each Skin Longevity Institute will boast private or semi-private cabins and consultation rooms that use lighting, music and room temperature to create an immersive, multi-sensorial experience.

Estée Lauder’s certified Global Pro Estheticians will use the iMatch Skin Analysis Pro skin diagnostic to analyse skin and develop a customised facial regime for customers.

The Estheticians have developed four new proprietary facial services designed to address targeted consumer needs, incorporating Re-Nutriv products and luxury facial tools with massage techniques.

“High touch service is part of the DNA of the Estée Lauder brand, which started with our founder, Mrs. Estée Lauder,” added Boxford. “Our new Skin Longevity Institute concept will continue to bring that same high-touch service to our consumers around the world through our most modern, elevated luxury expression combined with our high-performance products.”

Following the opening of the Skin Longevity Institute at the Global Beauty Plaza in Haitang Bay, key doors will open in Asia and China this summer and fall, followed by luxury department stores in key markets across US, UK and Europe over the next two years.
