Song-pickup-19Ever Rich Duty Free customers using the Taiwanese travel retailer’s online pre-order service can now collect their purchases from a designated pick-up counter at Taipei Songshan Airport.

Effective this month, travellers to Songshan Airport can purchase duty free goods from the Ever Rich Duty Free website seven days prior to their departure to save time and provide a more convenient shopping experience.

Previously, only passengers travelling to Taoyuan International Airport could benefit from the online pre-order platform, which was first launched in 2016.

ONE MILLION MEMBERS TARGET

The travel retailer adds that the new service reflects its efforts to react to digital trends such as ecommerce and mobile payments.

To celebrate the new Songshan pre-order service, Ever Rich Duty Free has launched an anniversary sales promotion campaign plus cash discounts, exclusive gifts and special offers on more than 80 brands.

These include price reductions on duty free exclusive sets, cash back through major credit cards, plus extra discounts on items three times per month.

Those spending TWD7,500 (US$240) can claim cash back of TWD400 ($13).

As a result of Ever Rich Duty Free online’s ‘sustainable growth’, the travel retailer says it is aiming to recruit one million members by the end of the year.

Online sales grew by 45% in the first half of this year and that growth is expected to double in 2019.

Quoting figures from Taiwan’s Tourism Bureau, Ever Rich Duty Free says total tourists to Taiwan exceeded 1.1 million in 2018.

Songshan Airport itself notched pax of 6.2 million – its highest in the past five years.
