Speakers and programme insights announced for APTRA India Conference

The Asia Pacific Travel Retail Association (APTRA) has announced details of the speaker programme for its APTRA India Conference, which is taking place from 19-21 March 2024 at Pullman New Delhi Aerocity.
Heavyweight industry experts taking to the stage include: Stefano Baronci, Director General, ACI APAC & Middle East; Ray Hernan, CEO, Aer Rianta International; Sunil Tuli, APTRA President & Group CEO King Power Group (Hong Kong); and Vijay Talwar, Chief Commercial Officer, Avolta.
This is in addition to Ashish Chopra, CEO, Delhi Duty Free; Ramesh Cidambi, COO Dubai Duty Free; Dr Munif Mohammed, CEO, Lagardère Middle East; Avishek Bambii Das, CEO, Mumbai Travel Retail, and more.
Turther travel retail industry experts and India specialists taking part on the programme, are set be announced over the coming weeks.

“The speaker programme will be packed with valuable insights on the business of travel retail in India, including: the political and economic dynamics driving the national agenda following the economic liberalisation of the past decade; the unstoppable rise of the aviation industry, airport and airline investments creating the customer base for travel retail; navigating the complicated ecosystem of regulations, policies and procedures in a country that has both national and state legislature; a deeper understanding of Indian consumer and cultural references in India 3.0, with presentations and insights from India market experts.”

The two-day conference focuses on the Indian travel retail market and the growing retail influence of the outbound Indian consumer in other countries.
The association reports that ‘dozens of executives from across the industry have signed up’, from around the word including those from North & Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Europe and the Americas.
The event commences on 19 March with registration, networking time in The Pullman Hotel & Novotel and a welcome cocktail reception.
The conference begins in earnest the next day with a full-day (09:00-17:00) speaker programme, culminating in a gala dinner.
On 21 March, the conference runs from 09:00-14:00, closing with sundowner cocktails.
The delegate rate is US$600 per person (bookings can be made by emailing [email protected]).
