FAQ is making its GDF Plaza VIP Lounge debut in style with its new placement offering luxury spa treatments utilising FAQ 101 and FAQ 102 devices.
The beauty experiences at the downtown duty free destination in Haikou, Hainan, launched in June and are only available to Global Duty Free (GDF) Plaza Platinum members.
“Our brand is one of innovation, and applying the same level of creativity and ingenuity to our marketing promotions in the region will no doubt increase sales and boost performance,” said Global Travel Retail Director, Gary Leong.
“Our latest placement at GDF will intrigue high-spending customers into experiencing FAQ for themselves, and we plan on executing similar marketing activities for the remainder of the year.”
It’s hoped that the new collaboration between Swiss anti-ageing brand FAQ and GDF will help to further enhance FAQ’s image in the rapidly expanding luxury beauty market in Hainan.
The range of devices created by the Swiss brand incorporate advanced technologies to deliver anti-ageing results for users.
These include: Power-RF (heated radio-frequency waves that accelerate collagen production to reduce the appearance of fine lines); T-Sonic (pulsations to boost the skin’s radiance); and LED-Pulse (to penetrate deep layers of the dermis to target specific skin issues).
There’s also EMS-Pro, which features in the FAQ 102 device available at the GDF Plaza VIP Lounge, and is described as a ‘safe and painless way to firm the skin and contour facial features’.
GDF Plaza offers a tiered membership status as well as a variety of benefits to high-spending customers, including Silver, Gold and Platinum membership with spends of up to RMB 50,000 (US$7,500).
The VIP Lounge offers a distinctive shopping experience, and a place for members to redeem rewards points.
GDF Plaza has seen a 45% year-on-year increase in sales during the May Day holiday season, with the total number of products sold during the period rising by an impressive 49%.
During this time, FAQ spearheaded a series of new promotions to help drive sales.
