Swedish beauty and tech supplier Foreo has opened a new counter at the Zhuhai Gongbei Port arrivals duty free shop in Guangdong Province. The store’s official Grand Opening ceremony took place on 24 May.
This latest travel retail point of sale showcases Foreo’s full Luna 4 collection, the Bear mini, and the Issa 2, providing excellent exposure for the brand’s skin technology portfolio within the Great Bay Area.
A prime travel retail position
The new Zhuhai Gongbei Port arrivals store offers over 100 international prestige fragrance and cosmetics brands, such as L’Oréal Paris, YSL Beauty and Versace. Over 50% of the brands featured are first-entry brands in Chinese land ports.
The landmark project incorporates 3,889sq m of retail space. As the largest land port within the APAC region, Gongbei’s passenger numbers can reach 499,000 per day.
Foreo’s new Swedish Beauty campaign, designed to help consumers achieve ‘complexion perfection’ in just three-and-a-half steps, is highlighted within the new space. This routine uses the company’s Luna 4, Bear, UFO 2 and Issa 3 devices to deliver a pared-down yet synergistic cleanse, tone and mask routine.
Foreo Global Travel Retail Director Gary Leong commented: “We are beyond thrilled to have successfully penetrated into Gongbei Port, proving another milestone project for the Foreo Travel Retail team.
“Gongbei Port is an important benchmark for the duty-free economy of the Greater Bay Area, and with full resumption of outbound and inbound tourism between the Mainland, Hong Kong, and Macau, we are indeed looking forward to a very successful H2 of 2023. We thank Zhuhai Duty Free for their strong support and dedication towards making one of our dreams become reality.”
Zhuhai City is located in the south of Guangdong Province, 36 nautical miles away from Hong Kong in the east and connected to Macau in the south. After the completion of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge, Zhuhai became the only city in mainland China to be connected with Hong Kong and Macau by land at the same time.
