Lagardère Travel Retail Singapore has partnered with Belgian chocolatier Godiva to stage an ‘extraordinary’ Chocolate Fashion Show at Singapore Changi Airport.
The Chocolate Fashion Show, showcasing the Godiva Gold Discovery collection, is located at Terminal 2 transit until 28 February 2018.
The ‘luxurious’ gold giftbox contains 28-pieces of ganaches, pralines, mousses and caramels and retails at S$102.20 ($78.2).
According to the organisers, the Chocolate Fashion Show promises to elevate the travel retail experience by introducing stunning fashion masterpieces to travellers from all over the world.
Visitors to Changi Airport can look forward to shopping for decadent chocolates and at the same time, ‘be delighted by Godiva’s artistry and creativity’, says the brand.
‘EXTRAORDINARY’ CREATIONS
“Lagardère Travel Retail has worked very closely with us on the breathtaking Gold Discovery promotion that we are staging at Changi Airport and have been supportive of our ground-breaking initiative with great enthusiasm,” commented Matthew Hodges, General Manager, Godiva Travel Retail.
“The Godiva dresses designed by Anne-Sophie Cochevelou are out of this world – and the most extraordinary creations you could expect to find in a travel retail store.
“We are thrilled and excited with the results and we are confident the shoppers will be equally amazed and delighted.”
Cochevelou’s designs are said to combine ‘state-of-the-art’ fashion with Godiva’s iconic chocolate boxes, including its latest Gold Discovery Collection.
The Chocolate Fashion Show presents three dresses created by the contemporary designer.
The Tradition to Modernity Showpiece Dress is displayed artistically on a static mannequin that can be admired from all angles by passing shoppers and travellers. Classic Gold Collection boxes edge the hem of the skirt and imitation chocolates decorate the headpiece.

The Empress Dress, with Gold Discovery boxes and garlands of chocolates, adorns a model in a photo booth to encourage shoppers to pose for a free instant photo ‘wearing’ the dress upon purchase of a box of Gold Discovery or two boxes of Gold Ballotin.
The Heart of the Collection Dress is decorated with Coeur Grand and Iconique gift boxes. The stage includes a ‘beautiful’ display of Godiva Gold Discovery, where a trained hostess engages with shoppers and offers samples during peak times.
‘EXCEEDING EXPECTATIONS’
Commenting on the collaboration, Louis Dambrine, CEO of Lagardère Travel Retail Singapore & Malaysia, stated: “Our great partners Godiva and Changi Airport Group welcome Gold Discovery collection into our stores, with an initiative that is stylish and incredibly artistic.
“We aim to satisfy every traveller’s need and are committed to exceeding all expectations. To this end, we believe that the fashion presentation will let travellers discover and experience chocolate through a very different experience.”
Adding to his comments, Teo Chew Hoon, Group Senior Vice President for Airside Concessions of Changi Airport Group, said: “We are happy to partner Lagardére and Godiva to stage this unique event at Changi Airport.
“This global travel retail concept exclusive reinforces Changi’s position as a world-class shopping destination and injects novelty and freshness into Changi’s retail experience. The extraordinary Godiva creations are certain to delight and surprise our passengers.”
