Guam court hearing next Monday
By Doug Newhouse |
The Guam Supreme Court has temporarily postponed a hearing on a joint appeal by Lotte Duty Guam and Guam International Airport Authority today.
The court was due to hear arguments on a joint appeal filed by Lotte Duty Free Guam LLC and the A.B. Won Guam International Airport Authority (GIAA) against DFS today, but was advised that Justice Pro-Tem Alberto Tolentino was too unwell to attend court. Local media broadcaster KUAM reported today that the court now hopes to hear appeal arguments on Monday.
Meanwhile, DFS has also consistently made it clear to TRBusiness that it also does not consider this matter closed. It has vigorously opposed the basis on which Lotte was awarded the 10-year duty free airport contract since the GIAA announced its decision in April 2013.
