GUESS to open accessories at Sydney

By Administrator |

Global fashion brand GUESS is to open a new accessories store in Sydney Airport's new International Terminal (T1).

The new GUESS accessory store, due to launch in September 2009, joins RM Williams, Billabong, Lonely Planet, Emporio Armani, Rodd & Gunn and Burberry as part of the growing number of iconic brands committed to open at the new development scheduled for completion by early 2010.

‘As an internationally recognised brand we see a great synergy with Australia's major international airport. The T1 store will give GUESS the perfect platform to showcase the brand to both local and international markets and give customers the GUESS experience as they leave Australia. We are enormously excited by the opportunity this represents,’ said Simon Nankervis, Managing Director of Guess' Australian retailer Busbrand.

The GUESS accessory line encompasses handbags, wallets, jewellery, watches, sunglasses and footwear. GUESS in Australia has expanded dramatically with 22 stores open across VIC, NSW, QLD and WA serving demand for its accessories and footwear line. Nine specialist GUESS Accessory stores are open across Australia.

Sydney Airport's A$500m ($387m) re-development of T1 is due for completion by May 2010. The upgrade of T1 will see it expand to accommodate nearly 90 retailers from a wide variety of leading international and domestic brands.
