Heinemann joint venture debuts on the Cotai Strip

Macau Canudilo and Heinemann Asia Pacific have opened a Duty Free Perfume & Cosmetics store at the Cotai Sands Macau on the Cotai Strip.
Called “Esscents Duty Free”, the new store is being run in a joint venture between Canudilo International Co. Lte (a 100% subsidiary of Guangzhou Canudilo Fashion and Accessories Co.,Ltd) and Heinemann Asia Pacific.
The companies say that they are differentiating their offer from the mall’s existing fashion and accessories stores by concentrating on selected skincare and fragrance brands and allocating the majority of the retail space to 11 of the most sought- after skincare brands among Asian customers – plus the rest to more than 15 fragrance brands.
Steffen Brandt, CEO of Heinemann Asia Pacific said: “Opening the first store in Macau brings great excitement to us. Not only are we thrilled about providing the best selection of today’s popular cosmetics, skincare and fragrance brands for men and women, we look forward to offering a fresh shopping experience to visitors to Macau, with both prestige and value for the consumers.”
Adding his comments, Choi Tak Hung, President of Canudilo Hong Kong said: “Launch of this store will expand our portfolio to a broader platform and equip us with the necessary know-how about this category for future growth.
“We have accumulated local knowledge since 2007 by operating two Canudilo ready-to-wear shops in the Venetian, combined with expertise and support from our partner Heinemann Asia Pacific, we are confident in the prospect of the business.”
The joint venture adds that store opening times range from 10am to 11pm daily and besides promotional and on-counter activities, wide range of sets and travel retail exclusives are available in the store.
