Moët Hennessy Travel Retail has opened a new Hennessy cognac boutique at Haikou Meilan International Airport, in collaboration with China Duty Free Group (CDFG).

The 80sq m store, located in the T2 Domestic Terminal, showcases the brand’s extensive cognac portfolio. The shop-fit features warm white limestone and charcoal oak wood, to create a contemporary, minimalist setting.

Designed around the theme “The Essence of Hennessy”, the boutique pays tribute to the Maison’s heritage, terroir, and craftsmanship, while offering an immersive shopping experience.

Hennessy unveils Dragon’s Odyssey

The boutique opening incorporated the launch of Hennessy’s limited-edition Chinese New Year 2024 collection, designed by Chinese artist Yang Yongliang, known for mixing traditional Chinese art with contemporary, innovative digital technology.

Inspired by ancestral culture, his digital creation is titled ‘Dragon’s Odyssey’. To mark the occasion, Hennessy has created a limited edition for three of its key cognacs. Hennessy VSOP, Hennessy XO and Hennessy Paradis have been reinvented with traditional drawings, combined with the striking digital art of Yang Yongliang.

Each bottle features a colour which embodies the aspirations of the new year, notably red for joy and luck and gold for prosperity.

In addition to the Hennessy CNY 2024 Limited Edition collection, the new boutique also offers travellers the opportunity to explore the brand’s wider cognac portfolio.
