Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA)'s has been voted Best Airport for the fourth year in a row by TTG readers (Travel Trade Gazette) in Asia.

Readers of TTG Asia, TTG China, TTGmice and TTG-BTmice China praised HKIA's facilities; user-friendliness; efficiency of immigration and baggage claim; well-designed floor layout; and convenient ground accessibility amongst other things.
Airport Authority's Ceo Dr David Pang said he was delighted that HKIA has been recognised not only by the flying population, but also by travel industry professionals. He extended his sincerest thanks to TTG readers and members of the travel trade for their support and to the 55,000-plus airport staff for their concerted efforts.
Commenting, Pang said: ‘To provide our customers with the finest airport experience, we continue to redefine and refine our services, as well as to enhance the airport hardware. When Passenger Terminal 2 commences its operation by the end of this year, HKIA will bring travellers and other airport users an even wider choice of facilities and services in shopping, dining and entertainment, further confirming our status as Asia's premier aviation hub.’
Airport Authority Commercial Director Hans Bakker received the award yesterday at TTG's 17th Annual Travel Awards 2006 Ceremony and Gala Dinner held in Thailand by TTG Asia, saying that the award was yet more international recognition for HKIA's excellent services and facilities.
