‘International Brands Street’ at Chongqing

Following the successful establishment and operation of leading international brands at Beijing International Airport T3, Airport Commercial Trading & Co (ACT) has taken the concept into its subsidiaries with the opening of the new International Brands Street in Chongqing Jianbei Airport.

The International Brands Street opened on May 25 and is located between the T2 and T2 concourse A. It includes many well-known international brands, including Salvatore Ferragamo, Ermenegildo Zegna, Bally, Swatch and the L’Oréal Group which ACT Director Foster Fu says are in high demand and respected by the local community.

He adds that the anticipated revenues for the ‘Street’ are expected to be equivalent to those generated in the other two concourses put together.

Dignitaries attending the ceremony included the Vice President of Capital Airport Holdings Company Mr.Zhang Musheng, the president of Beijing Capital Airport Commercial & Trading Co., Ltd (ACT) Ms.Zhang Kunlan, the general manager of ACT’s Chongqing Branch Ms Zhou Jing and the representatives from each brands.

Fu says that the opening ceremony was ‘a great sensation’ in the local area.

One of the biggest airports in south-western China, Chongqing Jianbei Airport is located in the Yubei District of Chongqing, People’s Republic of China, some 21km north of the city-centre of Chongqing and is an important hub.

The airport is a major hub for Chongqing Airlines and Sichuan Airlines and has direct connections to all major cities, with Air China and China Southern also having a large presence at the airport.
